DMX began to rap in the latter part of the 1990s. He debuted his debut album It's Hot as well as Hell is Dark on May 19,98. The album was followed by other releases like... And Then There Was X and the Great Depression Year of the Dog... Redemption of the Beast, Grand Champ. The album, titled...And then was X was nominated by the Grammy in 2001 for Best Rap Album in 2001. His musical career was complemented by his appearances in such films such as Lords of the Street Belly Top Five - Exit Wounded, Never Die Alone - The Bleeding Romeo must die Backstage - Beyond the Law Lockjaw - Rise of the Kulev Serpent and Fast and Fierce Death Race.
