Holly Hunter was an American actress, who gained fame in the film Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles. The actress won numerous awards, including an Oscar for the movie Piano. In her early years her acclaimed actress started acting on stage in several Broadway or Off-Broadway productions. The actress has always had an interest in acting since she started high school. Her debut role in a play in fifth grade was in Helen Keller. After suffering from the Mumps, she was deaf in one of the sides the ear. However, this didn't stop her from pursuing her dream to pursue a career as an actress. In her teens She studied acting before moving to New York City. Hunter came across Beth Henley by chance in the lift. They wrote together Broadway Crimes of the Heart. It was Hunter's acting debut. Hunter made the move to Los Angeles and tried to get movie roles. For Swing Shift, she landed the role of a back-up. In the years since, she has been in a variety of shows and TV films throughout a span of more than three decades. Holly Hunter has a Hollywood Walk of Fame star as well as the Women in Film Lucy Award.
